![]() How did you get around this error after selecting the Windows 11 ISO in the bootcamp assistant? ![]() Have a great and smooth Windows 11 install.Īlso trying to install Windows 11 on my iMac 2020. Within a year or year and half, hopefully when Apple has OLED Pro monitors and OLED iMacs, I plan to migrate everything to Silicon and sell, trade at Apple or donate these Intel Macs or keep it if Elgate or OWC figures out a hardware hack we can install to use the 5K iMacs as external monitors. I'm using Windows 11 moving forward for my games and diagnostics (I don't use to for work or to login to banks, it's for entertainment after a hard weeks work, on sundays). I was contemplating if I should move forward with Windows 11 or stick with Windows 10, until 2025 or until Windows 11 is more upgrade friendly but Windows 11 is more organized, more beautiful, less stress to do things with and more responsive even with the effects on. It's good I backed up my most important Windows 10 Boot Camp files. Things like Epic Games Launcher will all need to be reinstalled. I wasn't able to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11, I'm starting everything from a clean slate (no rollback when it wasn't an upgrade) but it did save the old Windows 10 (Boot Camp), including the program files as windows.old, I have yet to find the Desktop though. I got to install Windows 11 Pro and got to activate it (I had a license that worked in Windows 10 Pro but had an error activating it) with the method above and this activation method.
